Life is round.

I've been lying in wait for my perfect moment to strike. It just took one measly little Erik-didn't-hear-the-alarm morning, and he had no time to drive me to work. So I got to drive myself. I feel like a grown-up again.

I'd like to thank the Academy, for recognizing genius when they see it, and the Boston Red Sox, for playing into the wee hours and actually winning a game.

I just read your blog and it’s NOT cool. I’m sorry to be an ass about this, but you shouldn’t be driving and you know it. I know how hard it must be to not have the independence. I know it’s got to be frustrating to love your car and not get to drive it. I know how tough it is to be dependent on someone else for your timing, and the sense of control.

I DON’T CARE.

I certainly don’t expect you to have any seizures. You’ve been doing better with that. What you HAVEN’T been doing well with is not being incredibly sleepy, which would make you REALLY DANGEROUS (both to yourself and others) behind the wheel.

I want you to promise me that you won’t use this as the opportunity to start driving yourself again. This is BAD BAD BAD.

You can call here any time day or night and get a free taxi ride wherever you might need or want to go. Don’t MAKE me come kidnap your second car so that this isn’t a temptation anymore. You know I’ll do it.

Next time Erik's late, you have two options. 1. Call and let Jason know you are running late. 2. Get smacked by your best friend. HARD.

Wow...and Mom didn't have to say a thing (thank you, Kristen!!!) We love you WAYYYY too much to have anything happen to you...PLEASE be more careful, ok?

People, and I say this with great love, I don't need to be MORE careful. I'm being extremely careful. There is no more to BE. I wear my seatbelt. I took the backroads. And Erik drives my truck in a manner so crappy sometimes, or whenever there is a highway involved, that were I his parental unit, I'd take his keys away.

I love you both. I probably won't drive to my teambuilding this afternoon, and probably won't drive home from it, either.

Everybody good?

I KNOW you are careful....and I know you wouldn't do anything that you think is dangerous...we're just being "Moms." And Moms sometimes worry...cuz we love you. And, Erik, we love you, too, so drive nice!!!!!! ;)
