dum dee dum

Autumn mornings make me think of speech competition. I piled into a van with sometimes twelve other college kids and luggage and off we'd go to exotic places like Eau Claire and Lincoln, sacrificing vegetables to the Prairie Chicken at Rothsay on our way back to Fargonia.

Man, that was fun. And AFA Nationals, my sophomore year, was my first ride on a plane. Man, that was fun. Heh. One frosty Saturday morning in Wisconsin, we were heading down to the van. Kelly announced, "Current temperature: four degrees." Today's projected high: FOUR degrees."
Ah, good times.

You can judge high school speech. Good place for you. Parents should be protected from the Starolite Motel weekends, with its smoke-stained, padded headboards.

I'm not whining! I'm just sayin'...a sweet, innocent college girl like myself, staying in places like The Starolite Motel in Winona, MN, are things parents just don't need to know and worry about. I didn't tell her about Christmas morning in NYC until long after that ordeal was over, either.
