This present crisis

Dude. I just watched several hours of "team coverage" on one of the news stations because we've got an ice storm. Bring in yo' tomato plants or they shall surely die. Oh, the humanity. Evidently my workplace is closed, and I can't get there anyway. Floods freak me out. Icy roads, THAT I can handle. I'm just afraid of all the other drivers. And they barricaded off every road around me, as if to FORCE me to stay home and watch soap operas today. Is this the pre-cognitive martial law nightmare I had a few weeks ago?

Comments:

As Travis said during a chilly spell in TX in 1998, "Dear Lord, what have we done? He's turning the water into ice!!!!!!"

I couldn't even sympathize with Greg the other night when he said it was COLD...it was 60 degrees there!!! We had 20 BELOW!!

I retain my right to complain. Two days ago, it was 80, now it's 25 in San Marcos. I'm going out of my mind!

It's "...wawter into iiice!!!" I retain my right to complain too. And all y'all can call me a wimp if you want to, but when it's 120 in August, WHO'S CRYIN' THEN??? And I didn't brave the roads today, not because of the iiice, but because of the crazy freaks DRIVING on the roads, and they were ticketing folks who went around their girly little barracades.
